CIFA is committed to driving impactful interfaith action to promote behavior change through health, education and other development initiatives. We operate on the principle that faith communities are uniquely equipped to empower people to help themselves. See CIFA's Memorandum on Interfaith Action for a detailed explanation of our work and its impact.
CIFA mobilizes national and local faith leaders across all religious traditions and equips them to support their congregations and communities through positive behavior change. We research how interfaith action can be most beneficial and work locally to develop and test models and tools for interfaith engagement, and broker partnerships between governments, aid agencies and religious leaders. Interfaith programs are implemented by local organizations, owned by local faith leaders, and rigorously assessed.
CIFA is an independent, religiously-unaffiliated, non-profit organization based in Washington, DC.
