On December 12, 2008, CIFA, Georgetown University's Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs, and the World Faiths Development Dialogue hosted cross-sectoral leaders from around the world for an action-oriented meeting to explore models of faith-based programming against malaria, discuss what is needed to adapt these models to local conditions, broker cross sector collaborations to take effective programs to scale in the field, and position the faith community to receive funding to take these programs into the field.
Moderated by CIFA’s Tim Shriver and Jean Duff, and Berkeley Center Senior Fellow Dr. Katherine Marshall, the Leadership Consultation on Scaling up Faith Community Impact against Malaria drew CIFA Trustees and other influential participants to map out a future of interfaith and cross sector collaboration against malaria.
